CELERATION LEARNING PRIVACY POLICY

Celeration Learning is an educational coaching service that helps learners accelerate their mastery of reading, writing, and math using the clinically proven and peer reviewed Precision Teaching method. Celeration Learning is owned and operated by Celeration Learning, a State of Maine Limited Liability Company ("Celeration Learning"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of you and your learners' personal information. We have provided this policy to inform the learner, parent(s), and/or learner's legal guardian(s) who utilize Celeration Learning services of the types of information we collect and the ways in which we will use, disclose, and protect it. 

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into parts of our Terms of Service and Services Contract. By accessing this website or contracting for Celeration Learning services you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Celeration Learning operates from the United States. If you are located outside the United States, the information you provide to us is transmitted and processed in the United States, and will be protected subject to this Privacy Policy and applicable laws, which may differ from laws in your country.

Information You Provide

As a client of Celeration Learning, you will provide us with information necessary to create an online account(s) for progress tracking and sharing assessment information. This includes minimally required information about the learner such as first and last name, home address, telephone, and email address. Clients may choose to provide additional student information such as present school attending, assessments, individual education plan, grades, and class/personal schedule. This information is used to establish services needed and logistics for communications and program administration.

Information We Collect Automatically

When you partake in Celeration Learning services, the Internet based services we use automatically record information sent from your browser (“Log Data”). Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type and machine model, pages of the Celeration Learning website that you visit, the time spent on those pages, the referring URL, and access times & dates. We use this information to monitor, analyze use of and administer Celeration Learning, and to better tailor it to your needs.

To collect this information, we use certain technologies including cookies.

Cookies. A cookie is a small data file sent from a website or application and stored on your computer or device. Cookies allow us, or the online services we utilize, to recognize your browser and to remember your login information. Cookies also allow the online services we utilize to serve certain features, to better understand how you interact with Celeration Learning, and to monitor aggregated usage. You can set your browser to detect some cookies, to stop accepting cookies, or to prompt you before accepting a cookie. We use third party service providers to assist us in collecting and understanding session data. By using Celeration Learning, you agree to our use of these tracking technologies.

How We May Use Your Information

Clients retain ownership and control of all personally identifiable student data that Celeration Learning maintains. At no point is Celeration Learning the owner of such data.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

We use and disclose personal information only for the purposes of providing Celeration Learning to our clients as described above, and as follows:

  • As directed by our Customers to provide them with Celeration Learning features and services

  • To our third party service partners to permit them to provide Celeration Learning features and services on our behalf (see Third Party Service Providers section);

  • To investigate a suspected violation of the Terms of Service, suspected fraud or other unlawful activity;

  • As may be required by law or as ordered by a court, in which event, wherever legally permissible, we shall notify Clients and shall work with Clients to seek to limit the scope of the required disclosure, as further described below;

  • In the event of a reorganization, merger, sale, bankruptcy or other disposition of our business, in which case the transferred information will remain subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy; and

  • With your consent and as permissible under applicable laws and regulations.

We may de-identify information in accordance with NIST frameworks, and we may use de-identified information, including aggregated, de-identified data for a variety of purposes subject to applicable law, including:

  • To improve our educational products for adaptive learning purposes and for customizing the student experience;

  • To demonstrate the effectiveness of Celeration Learning, including in our marketing materials; and

  • To develop and improve our educational products.

Third Party Service Providers

We employ third parties to facilitate delivery and hosting of Celeration Learning data and to provide certain features on our behalf, such as file servers, video & audio communication, and data analysis & reporting. These parties are provided with the minimally required information necessary for them to provide these features and services. They are selected based on their alignment with our Privacy Policies and security posture and may use the information only to serve the purpose of the services being provided by Celeration Learning.

Data Retention

We retain Client information as long as a contract remains active with Celeration Learning. Prior to termination of the contract and upon written request from Client, Celeration Education will provide the client with a one-time, delimited file export of its data. Within 45 days of termination, Celeration Learning will securely delete or destroy the Client’s personally identifiable learner data, including such data held in backup systems. We will retain de-identified data for the purposes described above.

Security

We deploy commercially reasonable security precautions intended to protect against

unauthorized access to any of our Cient data. We store data and backups on secure devices with password and encryption protected. All Internet-based services make use of security features such as multi-factor authentication, encryption-at-rest, encryption-in-transmission, and other industry-standard protections in an effort to prevent access from outside intruders or accidents. We also require unique account credentials and limit data access. Not all security risks are reasonably foreseeable, however, and Celeration Learning is not responsible for the consequences of security incidents that are not reasonably foreseeable and not reasonably within its control.

Updates To This Privacy Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy in the future. When we do, we will post the latest effective version on the Celeration Learning website. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify our clients via the email address we have in our records. The “last updated” date at the top of this policy indicates when the Policy was last revised.
